He did it!!

Jason FINALLY pooped on the potty the other day! So what do you do when your 3 year old poops on the potty for the first time? You have a poopy party! We went to Gattitown to celebrate, Jason had a blast eating pizza, drinking coke ices and playing the games. Here is a pic of Daddy and Jason bowling at the poopy party.

Happy Half Birthday!

I can't believe it, Madison is 6 months old today! Where oh where did the time go? It makes me so sad to see her growing up so fast, especially since she is probably our last baby. I just want to freeze time and enjoy this sweet baby stage for as long as possible. Madison is such a wonderful easy going baby, which is exactly what we deserved after having Jason! Madison is just now starting to sit up on her own, but only for a few seconds before she falls over. Now that she is 6 months old I'm going to have to really start giving her baby food on a more regular basis. She had carrots for the first time today which she hated at first but by the end of the feeding I think she was really starting to enjoy them. So far she has eaten rice cereal, bananas, avocado and green beans. I'm really going to make more of an effort this time to make more homemade baby food. I think it is healthier and cheaper so it seems like the better option over buying all jarred baby food. Although popping open that jar is so easy and convenient so we will see.

Austin Nostalgia

This past weekend we went to my sister's house in Austin. While there we took a ride over to see our old house and visit the old stomping grounds. Shane and I both agreed we don't miss Austin a bit. We love our life in Frisco and wouldn't trade it. We have both sets of grandparents within 45 minutes driving distance (aka: free babysitters), we love this area and feel like its the perfect place to raise our family. When Shane first got the job offer to move to Dallas I was a little sad to leave Austin, but now I realize it was one of the best decisions we ever made!

The built in playdate

Yesterday I took Jason to the park next to our house. Usually it is full of kids but at 1:00 in the afternoon we were the only ones. Jason kept asking "where are all the friends". After realizing there were no other kids to play with he informed me that "Madison wants to swing". So moral of the story is when there is absolutely no one else to play with, the 5 month old sister will do. He was very cute pushing his little sister and Madison just loved it.

Jordans go camping

We went camping at Lake Tawakoni this past weekend with Shane's parents, his sister and her husband and their 3 kids. It was Madison's first camping trip and Jason's second (although he was only 1 last time so he probably doesn't remember) Jason had a BLAST playing with all of his cousins. Both kids slept all night both nights which was very unexpected but soo nice. We did make the mistake of letting Jason stay up as late as us the first night ..... Big Mistake. He was literally bouncing off the walls of the tent. I don't think he went to bed until 12:30 am and he passed out on the floor behind our airbed. The next night we made him go to bed much earlier. All in all it was a great camping trip we went swimming in the lake, made smores and had a great time.
