Happy 2nd Birthday Little Madi Lou Who

For Madison's second birthday we went with a How the Grinch Stole Christmas theme, since her birthday is just 6 days before Christmas! Plus, I think she looks just like little Cindy Lou Who in the Dr. Suess book. The kids had a great time making "jing-janglers"and playing the be the Grinch and undecorate the tree game. The adults had a Grinch quiz which my mom won, some how she always wins the adult games at my kids birthday parties .........hmmmm. We also read the Grinch book and watched the cartoon. All the kids even went home with "Grinch Poop"......green m&m's. It was a fun party! You know I love a theme, and this was a really fun one!tasting the green frosty

I can't believe my little girl is already 2, it doesn't seem possible. Although I miss the tiny baby she was, watching her develop her personality and turn into our sweet little girl is more fun everyday. She is all girly girl, you will rarely find her without a baby doll in one had......often several! She is learning more words everyday and turning into quite the chatterbox. She is the
TOUGHEST 2 year old you will ever meet. She fall off of things, gets knocked down and gets right back up as if nothing happen. Oh and if you try and ask her if she's ok she will look at you as if you are cRaZy !! She is loving and sweet and asks me every night to "lay with me" before she goes to sleep...my favorite time of the whole day : ). I never could have imagined I would be lucky enough to have such a beautiful, smart, sweet loving daughter, I love being your mommy Madison!!!

Better late than never.........right?

So I'm a little behind...ok alot behind on this whole blog thing, but her ya go, Thanksgiving in December. We went to Shane's parents house for Thanksgiving where the kids had an absolute blast playing with their cousins! It was a full house indeed with both Shane's Mom and Dad's side of the families coming together. The kids had alot of fun playing in the leaves in their yard. We only have twigs for trees in our neighborhood so they don't have leaves to play in all that often.

Leaves, leaves and more leaves......

Snow in Texas!!

On Wednesday we woke up to an unexpected surprise....SNOW! The weather people said we wouldn't get any, so of course we woke up to a blanket of white. We bundled up and headed out to play before Jason headed off to school. Of course it was all melted my noon, but was pretty while it lasted!

You can see Zoe in the background playing, that dog loves the snow!

Our "just us" trip

We're back from 7 days of sun, fun and relaxation in the Caribbean!! We went on a cruise just Shane and I while our kids went to Disney World with my Mom and Dad and Shane's mom (THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!) Did I mention my kids have the greatest grandparents in the world? It was wonderful and such a nice break from the kids (am I allowed to say that?) The first day was ROUGH though. Hurricane Ida was straight in our path and it was a very rocky ride. It was difficult just walking around the ship it was rocking so much. Luckily it calmed down by the second day and we arrived in Cozumel, Mexico. Since it was our "just us" cruise we had very little plans and got off the ship and decided to rent a jeep for the day. It was a great decision we had a fun time touring the island on our own. The back side of the island is just beautiful with beaches that you can't see civilization for miles. The next day we went to Grand Cayman. Due to t storm we were a little late getting in to port. We took a taxi to a beautiful secluded beach and hung out for a few hours before heading back to downtown Georgetown for rum cake samples (yummy!) and shopping. The final port was Montego Bay, Jamaica and we took a tour of the city stopping at a rum factory, plantation, shopping center and a bar for rum punch. The last two days of the cruise were days at sea and we spent them relaxing and playing in the casino.

Hallowen 2009

For Halloween Jason just had to be Buzz Lightyear of course! I found a so cute Little Bo Peep costume for Madison to wear. I had to have them match somehow, and Bo Peep is the only "girly " character in Toy Story. We went to Jason's friend Aidan's birhtday party on Halloween evening and then came back to our neighborhood to Trick or Treat. Here are my little Buzz and Bo.

Here are a few pics from the pumpkin patch. The kids had a great time picking out pumpkins, going on a hayride and jumping in the bounce house.

Fall Camping Trip

We went camping this week at Lake Murray in Oklahoma. The lake was beautiful, the weather was perfect and the campground was empty, we couldn't have asked for a better camping trip

Jason helping daddy set up the tent.

The best part of camping....the snacks!

Just how many Doritos can you shove in your mouth?
Pretty impressive...

Now Madison's turn...

Who will win?

Definitely Madi!!
