Our little Perfomer

Jason had his end of the year show last night. The theme was "It's a Small World" and each class recited a poem and danced/sang a song from a different country. Well, a Spanish speaking country of course. Jason's class did Spain, I loved his outfit with the hat, soo cute! The first one is the poem they recited " Dos Pececitos" and the second one is the song "El Baile del Gorila" Jason is the third from the end, in the middle of all of the girls! Oh and sorry for the quality, I still have no idea how to put videos from our good camcorder on here.

Mother's Day?

For Mother's day I got exactly what I wanted, a new storage ottoman for the kids toys. You see my living room looked like this....The mismatched baskets with toys overflowing was driving me insane.

Now it looks like this, ahhhhhh...... much better don't you think?!

The kids however might have thought it was kids day because they got the greatest gift a kid could ever get...... a giant box to play in. They had so much fun "camping" in the box with blankets and pillows, pretending it was an airplane that could fly and playing hide and seek in it. I think I know what we should get them for Christmas this year! : )

Butterflies

I took the kids to a butterfly exhibit yesterday and I have to say that the butterflies weren't the only things trying to escape from the enclosure. It was too small of a space to bring a stroller in so I had both kids free from the confines of the stroller and mobile. Chasing after both of them, attempting to snap a few pictures and trying to keep Jason from killing the butterflies all made me appreciate shopping carts and strollers oh so much more. Without these wonderful child confiners I don't think I could ever leave the house! Madison now being completely mobile is definitely a whole new adventure!

A few of the pictures I was able to snap between chasing after kids and saving the lives of butterflies.

Madi reaching for a butterfly, luckily she didn't catch any or I'm sure she would have tried to kill it, did I tell you she eats the rolly polly's Jason collects in his bug box?

Yes that is gum in his mouth, it was used at some point in the day as bribe, yes I bribe my children!

My friend Shannon's little boy Colin with a butterfly on his head, how cute is that?!

In the Garden

My awesome husband built me a second vegetable/herb garden this year so now I have two! Seriously, Shane has been hiding his handy side from me all of these years. He has been doing all kinds of projects around the house and I love it!!

I'm so excited about all of the yummy veggies I'm growing this year, bell peppers, squash, zucchini, okra, jalapenos, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, green beans, lettuces.

I already have tomatoes coming out, yea!!

The herbs are on the end and right out my backdoor. When I'm cooking I can just walk out the backdoor and snip off some parsley, rosemary, thyme, oregano, cilantro or basil!

My side garden gets less sun so I am growing lettuces and beans there.

Lettuce, should be ready for a salad soon!
