Shane got a trailer for the kids to ride in behind his bike, so we've been biking together. Jason's favorite part is when daddy drives through the sprinklers! This however is not Madi's favorite part, as she cried the whole way home. My little miss priss did NOT like getting wet!
A couple of weeks ago we took a quick weekend trip down to Austin to see my sister Brandy and her husband Michael. We went the Ice Cream festival and it was HOT! Not even the ice cream could cool us off. The kids didn't care though and had a great time with their Aunt and Uncle!
My sister Teresa who lives in Arizona had a layover at DFW on her way to Baton Rouge so we met up for lunch. My brother Paul met us too. The kids had a great time hanging out with Aunt Tessie and Unkie Mad Skillz! It took Madi a little time to warm up to Teresa since she hadn't seen her since Christmas, but eventually she did.
Check out this oh so adorable picture of our sweet Madison. Notice the cute hat? I made it! That's right, I wanted to take her picture wearing one of these cute hats. I checked etsy and almost spent 20 bucks on one, but then I remembered, hey, I know how to crochet, I can totally make that! My Maw-Maw taught me to crochet when I was 12, although my crochet needles have collected alot of dust since then! So I dug out my long lost crochet needles and got to work scouring you tube for how to videos. I was surprised how easily it came back to me, I guess its one of those just like riding a bike skills! So......anybody need something crocheted!?
Remember when we went here last September? Well we went back and this time Madi got to really join in the fun. I just can't believe how big she is getting! They both had a great time exploring at the museum.
Digging for Dinosaurs
Driving the Firetruck
Playing in the water
Riding the rocking horse at the farm
Playing with the giant bubbles, these were WAY better than the bubbles we usually play with in our backyard!
We've been having alot of rain lately, especially for Summer in Texas. Jason wanted to play in the rain so we thought why not! He started off with an umbrella.
Then he decided to ditch the umbrella.
And they got soaking wet!
They discovered the slide goes super fast when it rains!
Don't worry she was ok!
Running for cover!
I hope these are the times my kids remember. The times we let them play in the rain. The times it didn't matter how dirty they got. The times they got to just be kids! I love times like these.
